What Payment Methods are Accepted?
We’re committed to providing a smooth and secure payment experience. Below, you’ll find an overview of the payment options available for purchasing vehicles from Twin Cities Auctions.
Cashier’s Checks (Recommended)
- Payable To: “Twin Cities Auctions”
- Why We Recommend This Method: Cashier’s checks are our preferred option and offer a secure and efficient way to finalize your purchase. This is the fastest way to make a payment at Twin Cities Auctions.
Cash (In-Person Only, Up to $500)
- Limit: We accept cash payments up to $500.
- Over $500: For amounts exceeding $500, please use one of our other accepted payment methods.
Credit Cards, Debit Cards, and Apple Pay/Google Pay
- Transaction Fee: 3.5% fee applies to any portion of the vehicle purchase (including purchase price and fees), whether you pay online or in person.
- Banking Tip: Confirm your single-transaction limit with your bank or credit card provider before making the payment.
Exceptions (No Transaction Fee):
- Vehicle delivery quotes
- In-store accessory purchases (e.g., screws, oil, etc.)
- Vehicle service contracts or warranty purchases
Mobile Payments (CashApp and Venmo)
- Availability: In-person only to ensure payment accuracy.
- No Fees: No transaction fee applies if the “Purchases” feature is turned off in your wallet app.
- How It Works: Scan our QR code at the sales counter and verify you’re sending to the correct account. We are not responsible for payments sent to incorrect users/accounts.
Wire Transfers
- Instructions:
- Send funds directly to our designated wires account.
- Email the amount and VIN to: support@TwinCitiesAutoAuctions.com for confirmation.

Company Checks (Dealers Only)
- Requirements: Accepted only from pre-approved dealers who have completed our required documentation.
ACH Transfers (Dealers Only)
- Requirements: Accepted only for approved dealers with signed documentation on file.
Not Accepted Payment Methods
- Personal/Business Checks: We do not accept personal or standard business checks, ensuring a streamlined and secure transaction process.
Important Payment Information
Payment on Behalf of Someone Else:
- Requirements:
- Payer must sign the “Payment on Behalf of Someone Else” form.
- Copies of IDs for both buyer and payer must be provided.
- Both parties must be present in person for this payment method.
Split Payment Limitations:
- We accept a maximum of two forms of payment per vehicle.
